This harness is part of the Willans Silverstone range using rotary buckles and aluminium adjusters.
Willans 6-Point Single Seater FIA Harness: FIA approved to FIA 8853-2016. Suitable for all Single Seater cars with the appropriate mountings. This harness is not suitable for use with HANS devices. If you require a HANS version, please click HERE to take you to the correct harness.
The six vehicle attachment points use 5/16" (8mm) diameter bolt fixings. These can be supplied with 3/8" (9mm) diameter holes using the dropdown below. The shoulder mountings can be supplied with 3/8" (9mm) or 7/16" (11mm) diameter bolt mountings in Type B fixing or 3/8" (9mm) or 1/4" (6mm) Type A fixing. Finally, a stitched loop option is available only if mounting to a ‘dog-bone’ fitting. The loops are available in 20, 30, 40 or 50mm sizes but please note they need to be large enough for the end of the dog-bone to pass through. Simply select the options required from the dropdowns when ordering.
Patented lightweight composite Rotary Buckle finished in satin black with a black Willans badge as standard; the badge (not the buckle) can be upgraded to Signature Red or Blue. One lap strap is permanently fixed to the right-hand lap strap. Willans super smooth Aluminium Adjusters are standard fittings on these harnesses and can be specified in Black or Blue (at additional cost).
Shoulder Straps are all 3 inch (75mm) wide with the option of 2 inch (50mm) or 3 inches (75mm) for the lap straps. 2 inch (50mm) crutch straps and the lap straps use double steel attachment lugs to give pinch plate spanner adjustment for length control of the straps. Crutch Straps are 2 inches (50mm) wide with 1 inch (25mm) wide loop one end to be passed through the ‘D’ rings on the lap straps before passing the shoulder strap down through the loop prior to connecting into the release mechanism.
Stitching thread is self-colour (same as harness colour) unless upgraded to a Signature colour using the dropdowns on the page. Shoulder pads are available in Black, Blue or Red only. There are several options for the shoulder strap fixings on single seater harnesses:
- Fixing Type A is available with different diameter holes (standard 8mm, other sizes are no cost options; see dropdowns for exact sizes available).
- Fixing Type B is available as a no cost option with different diameter holes (see dropdowns for exact sizes available).
- Stitched loop shoulder straps are available in various sizes for use with dog-bone fittings on Single Seaters (see dropdowns for exact sizes available).
Velcro to Shoulder Straps
Velcro patches are available as an option on the shoulder straps (please use dropdown to select if required). Ideal to prevent webbing blowing about in open top sports and racing cars.
T-Handles to Shoulder Straps
Sewn in nylon T-Handles are available as an option on the shoulder straps (please use dropdown to select if required).
Rotary Buckle Centre Badge
The composite harness buckle is supplied in a satin black finish with a black Willans badge in the centre as standard. The badge (not the buckle) can be upgraded to Signature Red or Blue as an option (please use dropdown to select option required).
Webbing Colour Options
Webbing can be supplied in a range of colours for this harness. Standard colours are Willans Blue, Red, and Black. Signature colours are Orange, Yellow, British Racing Green, White, and Silver/Grey (please use dropdown to select colour required).
Thread Colour Options
The thread used to manufacture this harness can be supplied in a range of colours. The standard is self-coloured (same colour as harness ordered).
