Cobra Tailored Adaption Bars for the Mazda MX-5 NA/NB allow you to adapt your original equipment runners to fit Cobra base mounted, fixed back seats with a hole pattern of 292mm (left to right) and 330mm (front to back).
Each MX-5 adaption bar kit includes:
- 2x Adaption Bars
- 4x M8x20 Bolts (Shorter Option)
- 4x M8x25 Bolts (Longer Option)
- 4x Nuts
- 4x Spacers
Fitting Instructions:
- The adaption bars fit across the width of the new Cobra seats. Please note the bars for the passenger side of the car are shorter in length to the ones for the driver's side of the car.
- Bolt the adaption bars to the Cobra seats using the four bolts with allen key heads that are supplied with the seats. These will be retained by the four captive nuts already installed in the base of each seat.
- Remove the original seats from the car complete with the original runners.
- Remove the runners from the original seats. These will be used again and simply bolted to the new seats in the same plane as the original configuration.
- With the seat upside down, place the runners (again upside down) onto the base of the new seat.
- Using the original bolt holes in the runners, put the bolts through the runners and bolt them to the adaption bars using the nuts provided.
- To achieve the optimum height longer bolts and a spacer are provided to fit between the runners and the adaption bars.
- The seats are now ready to be refitted into the car using the original bolts.
